Accounting Manager
Location: Remote
Reports To: Vice President, Finance

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an active and engaged accounting manager to oversee daily, weekly, and monthly accounting operations as well as enforce and ensure compliance with proper accounting policies and principles. This individual would serve underneath the VP of finance to lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and support strategic decision-making process through data analysis and reporting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the month-end close process working cross-functionally to develop accruals and manage schedules
- Support the annual audit-process highlighting timeline and support as necessary for on-time deliverables
- Oversee reconciliation processes and build out efficiencies across the company
- Enforce and support proper accounting methods, policies and procedures
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce timely financial reports and statements
- Highlight risks and opportunities to plan
- Support strategic decision-making process based on historical and projected future data
- Additional Ad-Hoc projects and updates
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management related role
- Financial law and regulations expertise specifically In GAAP compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Advance computer skills In MS Office, NetSuite (preferable) and/or quickbooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivots, If/Then Analyses, Index/Match, Etc.)
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and create easy to use dashboards
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
- CPG Experience required; knowledge of hedging is a plus
