Description

Health-Ade is looking for a gritty Quality Champion! The Manager of Quality & Regulatory position will have a proven track record of rolling up their sleeves and elevating quality by ensuring Health-Ade’s products meet quality standards and regulations. This position reports to the Director of Quality & Technical Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and reinforce quality acumen while partnering with the production, maintenance, and warehousing teams
  • Work with the QA team to monitor quality testing and identify gaps.
  • Provide backup for quality team supervision including Hold Product, Product Testing, Material and Ingredient Quality, Pest Control and Scheduling.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for food safety and quality matters with regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up to date on emerging state and federal regulatory changes. Identify business-impacting changes and leverage resources to provide guidance on adherence to the changes.
  • Develop the necessary training modules to ensure that personnel and employees understand and can execute established procedures while meeting all FDA, and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and submit compliance reports to local, state/federal environmental regulatory agencies and to key customers.
  • Regularly inspect and monitor the facilities to ensure that manufacturing and warehousing facilities are operating in compliance with Health-Ade Policy & Procedures, FSMA, FDA, GMP regulations, and GFSI guidelines.
  • Support new products, new materials, and new supplier qualifications, working with R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Commercial Teams during NPD development or product change processes.
  • Manage Co-Manufacturer Quality Program. Ensure adherence to product and storage specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, Safe Quality Food Principles, Food Defense Principles & Quality Management Systems, CIP, Sanitary Design, and CAPA (Corrective Action/Preventive Action)/Root Cause Analysis.
  • Proven track record of successful internal and external GFSI audit scoring.
  • 5 years of management experience within a Quality leadership or auditing role. Preferred experience in beverage manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Food Engineering or related degree preferred.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects/workload.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating, influencing and communicating effectively across all levels and teams across the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

COMPENSATION: At Health-Ade, we know our strongest assets are our people, and we recognize our total compensation package is a huge factor in how you are recognized for the impact you have on the company reaching its goals. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $110,000-$120,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, such as market location, level of experience, and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will remain posted until filled.
