THE ROLE:
  • This position will report to the: Manager - Regional Sales
  • Location: East and North Bay Area - San Francisco, CA
  • Travel Requirements: 100% - in support of operational/business needs
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt; Hourly
  • Employment Category: Full Time - Regular
  • Pay Range: $18.75 to $20.75

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

This position contributes to Evolution Fresh success by acting as the secondary store-level salesperson who is responsible for merchandising all Evolution Fresh brand products to a pre-determined customer base. Interacts with store personnel (store manager, produce manager, receiver).

JOB DUTIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining (working back stock) product on all shelves at all assigned accounts
  • Maintain all assigned accounts relative to schematic, product rotation and customer service
  • Must meet regularly scheduled merchandising time windows of assigned accounts
  • Responsible for FIFO rotation on all products
  • Must keep all back-room inventory neat, rotated and organized
  • Must keep all products and display equipment (coolers, glides, etc.) clean and neatly organized
  • Maintain point-of-purchase materials (promotional tags, shelf talkers, etc.) to stimulate sales
  • Complete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Identify and communicate with supervisor any issues or opportunities as it relates to daily activities or assignments
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record with no more than one moving violation in the last 12 months.
  • Reliable transportation and insurance
  • Must speak, read, and write English

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to travel 100% during scheduled shifts across the East Bay and North Bay areas of Northern California to support operational and business needs.
  • ability to report to work at 3:00 a.m. when business requires.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
  • Working for a retail business or grocery store
  • Understanding store operations
  • Stocking shelves/managing inventory
  • Meeting time commitments
  • Operating material handling equipment (pallet jack, hand truck, etc.)
  • Experience with perishable products (preferably refrigerated)
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 35 lbs. in an occasional manner.
  • Must be able to grasp with fingers and hand for extended periods of time in a repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to use 3-points of contact when climbing or descending stairs.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend at knees, and/or crouch in a repetitive manner.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

  • 1st Shift – 4:00am to 12:00pm; Weekends, overtime, holidays, and/or rotating shift and day off schedules may be mandatory based on business and departmental needs.
