We believe that a life of purpose has the power to transform the world.

This isn't just a job - it's a chance to find your true purpose. We’re a full-service restaurant collection with locations from coast to coast, known for serving nutrient-dense, thoughtfully crafted dishes for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

WHO WE'RE INVITING TO THE TABLE

Our Training Manager executes True Food Kitchen’s learning strategy in the field—translating brand standards and SOPs into daily behaviors that elevate guest experience, food safety, and team performance. This role maintains training content, administers Dayforce Learning and the HUB, supports new restaurant openings (NROs), delivers train-the-trainer sessions, and partners with Operations to drive adoption and certification. The Training Manager is a hands-on facilitator and project manager who turns curriculum into consistent results at store level. This is a full-time position in the True Food Kitchen home office in Scottsdale, AZ.

THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Program Execution & Field Enablement

  • Execute the annual training plan for FOH/BOH, bar, and leadership paths (AIT/MIT/Shift/AGM/GM), reinforcing True Food values and service standards.
  • Facilitate workshops, certify in-store trainers, and conduct field visits to coach, calibrate, and close skill gaps.
  • Partner with Restaurant-Level Training Managers and GMs/ECs to prioritize training on every shift; drive station certifications and sign-offs.

Content, Tools & LMS (Dayforce Learning/HUB)

  • Maintain and refresh role-based materials (checklists, station guides, LTO/menu rollouts, job aids, assessments) to ensure accuracy and ease of use.
  • Administer Dayforce Learning/HUB assignments, enrollments, reporting, and compliance tracking; troubleshoot field issues.
  • Support creation of blended learning (on-the-job, micro-video, e-learning, workshops) and coordinate version control.

Change Management & Rollouts

  • Coordinate operational rollouts (procedures, menu changes, promotions) with Operations, Culinary, and Marketing; package clear “what/why/how” toolkits.
  • Provide pre-shift huddle guides, quick-start one-pagers, and manager talking points to accelerate adoption.

New Restaurant Openings (NRO)

  • Build NRO training plans from the Director’s framework (schedules, staffing, certifications, readiness checks).
  • Assist with trainer selection; coordinate FOH/BOH training blocks; track budget usage and completion metrics.
  • Provide on-site and post-opening stabilization support through week 4.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report training KPIs (completion, certification rates, food safety pass rates, mystery shop/service scores, time-to-productivity, 30/60/90 retention).
  • Gather operator feedback; recommend and implement iterative improvements to content and delivery.
  • Maintain a regular update cadence with field and the Director (wins, gaps, next steps).

Partnership & Administration

  • Partner cross-functionally (Ops, Culinary, HR/TA, Marketing) to align training with business priorities.
  • Support training budget administration (P.O.s, vendor coordination) and manage small projects end-to-end.
  • Stay current on learning trends, tools, and best practices.

THE PERFECT PAIRING

  • 4–6+ years restaurant operations and/or training experience (multi-unit full-service strongly preferred).

  • Proven facilitator: train-the-trainer and field coaching experience required.

  • Hands-on content building (checklists, SOPs, micro-learning, e-learning); LMS experience (Dayforce Learning/HUB preferred).

  • Working knowledge of food safety/sanitation and operational standards.

  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills; organized project manager with high follow-through.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe/authoring tools a plus.

  • Travel up to ~30–40%; evenings/weekends as needed for openings and trainings.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Completion of AIT/MIT content a plus.
