WHO WE'RE INVITING TO THE TABLE

This leadership role in Training and Development will lead all training and development initiatives, from design to implementation, ongoing materials support, updates, and modification as needed, while reinforcing True Food Kitchen’s core values and brand mission. They will play a significant role at all new restaurant openings across the nation, will drive the creation and collaborate on authoring all content, will own all training from hourly to MITs and will drive a strong culture of learning and engagement. They will be a thought partner to the SVP of Operations and will combine efforts to ensure True Food standards are met through a strong training curriculum. THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to all training and development programs.
  • Designs effective training solutions using both traditional and innovative methods, recognizing their key role in successful training.
  • Oversees the Learning module and the HUB in Dayforce to drive engagement and learning throughout the organization
  • Leads the charge of the existing Certified Training Programs and helps to drive the continued success of this sequentially designed curriculum.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to ensure the successful design and delivery of new content for both new hires and ongoing skill training for management and hourly team members.
  • Guides effective change management activities and administration of outcomes.
  • Keeps current with trends, best practices, new technologies, and emerging innovations in the training and development sphere and implements solutions that build on our ability to develop talent.
  • Continuously monitors and solicits feedback on training programs and materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness, while driving enhancements for improved adoption.
  • Develops and monitors key performance metrics with an emphasis on improved performance through training and development.
  • Refreshes content as needed to meet the needs of the business.
  • Provides and supports leadership development aimed at improving retention and performance across all levels.
  • Knows the needs of restaurant operators and ensures that decisions are made in the best interest of operations and that programs are fully integrated into the day-to-day responsibilities of restaurant management teams.
  • Oversees rollouts and procedural changes to the field (as pertain to operations, such as new procedures, operational policies, menu changes, promotions, etc.)
  • Manage budgeting and overall financial management of training-related programs.
  • Lead NRO Training and help set the Management Team up for success
    • Designs Pre-opening training schedule based on expected volumes and staffing
    • Assists in the selection of trainers
    • Coordinates FOH and BOH NRO Training efforts
    • Manages NRO Training Budget
  • Provides NRO support before and after opening
  • Works with Restaurant-Level Training Managers to ensure that training is a top priority at every location.
  • Drives certification at every level.

THE PERFECT PAIRING

  • 8+ years of experience as a leader in Restaurant Operations with a significant track record of Training and developing their talent
  • Has completed the AIT, MIT program content
  • A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • The maturity to embrace ambiguity and to adapt according to the demands of the job, the labor market, and the continuing innovation at True Food Kitchen.
  • Strong leadership behaviors, approachability, and a reputation as an unwavering role model.
  • Ability to develop a long-range training plan and a passion for investing in people.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and experience with LMS or other e-learning programs.
  • Ability to travel for up to 30% of work schedule.
  • Passion for organization and an aptitude for prioritizing multiple projects.
