WHO WE'RE INVITING TO THE TABLE
The Aloha KDS Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the NCR Aloha Kitchen Display System (KDS) and related POS integrations. This role ensures seamless kitchen operations by configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting KDS hardware and software, supporting menu updates, and collaborating with operations teams to optimize workflows.
THE PERFECT PAIRING
- System Configuration & Maintenance
- Configure and maintain Aloha KDS settings, including routing rules and display layouts.
- Manage menu updates and ensure accurate mapping between POS and KDS.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Provide support for KDS-related issues across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve escalated technical problems.
- Document troubleshooting steps and maintain accurate service records.
- Integration & Updates
- Ensure proper integration between Aloha POS, third-party delivery platforms, and KDS.
- Implement seasonal and promotional menu changes across all channels.
- Test and deploy software updates and patches for KDS and POS systems.
- Training & Documentation
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions for kitchen staff and managers.
- Maintain SOPs for KDS operations and troubleshooting.
THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Technical Expertise
- 1-2 years of strong knowledge of NCR Aloha POS and KDS systems.
- Familiarity with networking basics, Windows OS, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with menu configuration
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- experience in POS/KDS administration or restaurant technology support.
