Overview: Under the supervision of the Sr. Warehouse Manager,The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will oversee Shipping and Receiving Associates to ensure efficient and successful operations. This position requires the individual to be responsible for loading and unloading transport trucks as well as moving products to designated storage areas while supervising the forklift operators' shift duties.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventories of raw materials and components at all times
Maintain proper inventory levels of labels
Assure accurate picking and staging of raw materials and components for production promptly to avoid manufacturing delays and complete the returns from the process areas daily
Match all labels with batch records
Have complete knowledge of WMS inventory controls (stock checks, stock takes, stock check on radio, etc.)
Ensure AFS and WMS are concurrent and replicating the correct stock on hand and available
Report findings/concerns to Management and ensure tasks appointed are completed
Understand burn rates and be able to see and suggest changes in the amount ordered along with understanding min/max inventory levels
Communicate with Scheduling & Marketing on new labels/discontinued
Track and keep film levels with the procurement and Inventory Control Manager
Coordinate with other team members in the box making the schedule
Keep an updated inventory of backstock boxes made
Update and track inventory on coats and bibs/pants for warehouse staff
Maintain a cleaning schedule of the Mezzanine as well as being part of the cleaning team
Read and understand the processing schedule to pull consumables
Receive and sort UPS/FEDEX/vendor orders as they come in
Cycle count consumables daily
Run box machine and make changes mechanically as needed
Coordinate with the warehouse on returns (consumables)
Maintain a safe work environment
Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs, and GMP guidelines
Any additional task set forth by the Warehouse Management, within the scope and ability
Competencies:
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Strong work ethic, communication skills in English, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely across departments
3+ years of (standup) forklift experience in a warehouse environment required
Strong computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office
6 months of logistics, retail, or customer service experience
Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
Ability to lift a maximum of 60 pounds
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measurements
Able to work in cold conditions that range from -1*F up to 45*F
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random drug tests as requested
Bilingual in English/Spanish (requirement)
Understand and abide by all safety regulations, policies and procedures set forth by Verde Farms.
