Reporting to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Director - Financial Planning & Analysis will play a critical role in driving financial performance, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial principles and corporate finance.

What You'll Do:

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the development and execution of the company's financial planning process, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Oversee the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and FP&A peers to develop accurate and realistic budgets.
    • Develop robust forecasting models and methodologies to predict financial outcomes and evaluate the impact of various scenarios on the business.
    • Monitor and analyze budget variances, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
    • Integrate budgeting and forecasting with our monthly IBP process to provide a united front during Monthly Business Reviews.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and financial performance metrics.
    • Improve our ability to “look around corners” and anticipate problem before they become problems.
    • Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement standardized financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial result
  • Business Partnering:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial insights, guidance, and recommendations to support decision-making.
    • Partner with the business to define, own, and drive relevant and timely KPI reporting
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Marketing, to drive alignment and achieve financial objectives.
    • Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, new product development, and potential acquisitions or partnerships.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
    • Improve processes and use of systems to automate work.
    • Set clear performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to ensure the team's success.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree, CPA, or MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance principles, financial statements, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, budgeting and forecasting software, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business performance and growth.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
