Vital Farms – Maintenance Inventory Clerk (Springfield, MO)

The Maintenance Inventory Clerk working C Shift (Thursday 12:00pm-6:00pm and Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm (Weekend Days - 40 hours) plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient inventory control and availability of supplies required for the smooth functioning of our Egg Central Station facility in Springfield, MO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help build a best-in-class team by implementing inventory control best practices and transforming the way we do business.
  • Partner with vendors for formal quotes, lead-time, and delivery information.
  • Expedites past-due or urgent orders as necessary.
  • Use computer systems to process all necessary maintenance transactions.
  • Perform administrative functions such as typing, filing, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Uses database programs to generate custom queries and reports. Checks the accuracy of computer printouts, reports, and calculations.
  • Answer inquiries and provide clear information to supervisors and managers regarding the status of orders, the inventory management system or procedures.
  • Kit parts for upcoming job tasks and projects.
  • Act as an owner and use your knowledge and skills to make suggestions and to support other projects and teams to help propel our business forward!

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of plant maintenance, inventory and/or procurement experience in the CPG/Food & Beverage industry.
  • Experience developing and scaling processes and systems to support fast paced business growth.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get into the details as well as think and execute strategically.
  • Strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail coupled with negotiating and influencing skills for sourcing aftermarket parts used on existing equipment.
  • An analytical mindset, but also the ability to apply art with science.
  • Ability to contribute individually and through a team of people.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work in a fluid, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and systems.
