The Cyber Security and Controls Manager will lead our company's efforts in safeguarding our digital assets, protecting against cyber threats, and supporting the IT team in execution of key controls. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cyber security principles, strong leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role will involve developing and implementing strategies to protect our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, implement and maintain a comprehensive cyber security strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
  • Lead the implementation of security controls and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of existing security measures.
  • Monitor and analyze security incidents and provide timely response and resolution to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into system design and development processes.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively address potential risks.
  • Oversee security awareness training programs to educate employees about cyber security risks and promote a culture of security awareness.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory agencies, to address security-related concerns and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in a cyber security role, with a track record of successfully leading security initiatives in a complex organization
  • Ability to travel 10-20% for team meetings, company offsites, employee onboarding trips and other business needs
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies, and best practices, including network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and security incident response.
  • Experience collaborating with Internal Audit and External Audit teams for reporting on the execution of controls and communicating Cyber and SOX control roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive results, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
