The Pullet Sales and Service Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring our farmers receive the highest level of customer service when purchasing Vital Farms pullets. You will be the main point of contact for our farmers with full scope management from the initial contract to delivery of pullets and beyond. You will design and communicate to the farmer regular updates on pullet performance, quality, and all regulatory information. You will collaborate with the Vital Farms crew for alignment with planning, logistics, and finance. Your efforts will contribute to the success of our farmers, strengthen our commitment of best in class service to our customers, and drive long-term productivity for all Vital Farms stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the negotiation, execution, and fulfillment of pullet sales contracts.
  • Work with the pullet team to ensure timely delivery of pullets to farmers according to contract terms.
  • Attend farmer meetings to promote pullet sales, build relationships and receive feedback about pullets.
  • Develop and distribute sell sheets and marketing materials to highlight the Vital Farms standard and commitment to producing the highest quality pullets.
  • Track the number of pullets delivered, and generate final billing statements for farmers.
  • Manage creation and completion of pullet packet documents for each flock to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain record keeping for all parties.
  • Prepare performance report cards for each flock of pullets and share with farmers and Vital Farms crew to provide insights into pullet health, and quality.
  • Maintain regular communication with lay farmers as their main point of contact for their crucial investment in the success of their farm.
  • Facilitate the transition of support from the pullet team to the lay farm support team within Vital Farms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback and continuously improve program content and delivery methods.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and inform program adjustments.
  • Foster positive relationships with farmer communities, local partners, and agricultural stakeholders to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and resource mobilization.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to showcase program achievements, share insights, and build networks within the agricultural community.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field; will consider experience as substitute for education
  • 4+ years of relevant experience within the poultry and/or agricultural experience
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and empower diverse audiences, including farmers, community leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience in monitoring and evaluating program outcomes and impact.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% as needed for company and team meetings, onboarding, farmer meeting and other business needs
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
