Your Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, this role will support Vital Farms’ mission of bringing ethically produced food to the table by driving a disciplined forecasting process and driving ownership of the forecast throughout the organization. Critical to the role will be working with key stakeholders to astutely turn the various sources of internal & external inputs along with strong analytics into actionable insights.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with monthly & quarterly internal and external reporting, including driving insightful analyses to explain trends and forecast variances
  • Own the consolidated SG&A roll up and monthly reporting.
  • Partner with department owners to review and discuss department results, trends, and forecast while also providing insights and recommendations.
  • Support the development of the company’s annual operation plan
  • Support development of Board presentations and supplement materials and analysis
  • Streamline and improve current annual planning, forecasting, and month-end close reporting processes
  • Maintain and enhance Anaplan/reporting administration for budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintain and drive accountability to the financial calendar timelines and milestones
  • Assist with longer-term strategic planning and modeling
  • Be a champion for leveraging our data visualization and analytics platform (PowerBI) to generate insights and robust performance reporting
  • Engage in ad-hoc analyses and reporting to provide transparency and tracking to management and senior leadership

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or relevant field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a highly analytical, data intensive and/or strategic role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and financial analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear and concise insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset, able to anticipate business needs and drive actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and cross-functional team environment, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • MS Office skills with Advanced Excel skills
  • Passion for ethical and nutritious food and purpose-driven brands
  • High tolerance for monthly deadlines
  • Ability to travel 15-25% travel for company and team meetings, offsites, onboarding trips and other business needs
