Your Role:
The Assistant Farm Support Manager will be responsible for overseeing the east central portion of our farm support team, providing support and coaching to our extensive network of farmers, crew members, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices. The crew member will coach our Farmers to be as effective, efficient, and profitable as they can be. Additionally, this individual is dedicated to the well-being of the animals in our care, and who is fiercely committed to improving the lives of everyone they work with.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead designated Farm Support team in professional growth and development.
- Maintain responsibility for daily tasks/management of the designated Farm Support team including production outcomes, egg quality, and animal welfare as directed by the Sr. Farm Support Manager.
- Communicate with Sr. Farm Support Manager on challenges, wins, losses, and discuss appropriate courses of action to continue improving outcomes.
- Spend time with team members on farm on a consistent basis to assist in identifying opportunities to improve outcomes.
- Ensure that all paperwork and protocols are being completed and adhered to.
- Communicate with satellite departments to ensure cross functional relations, efficiencies, and objectives are being upheld.
- Monitor all production metrics on a weekly basis and communicate findings to team members and Sr. Farm Support Manager.
- Monitor health challenges, responses to health challenges, and progress of recovery.
- Maintain exceptional communication with team members.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Due to the heavy travel requirement for this role, the ideal candidate must be in the Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky Tri-state area.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Agricultural or related field preferred
- Farm Management or similar experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and creative problem-solving ability
