Shipping and Receiving - Currently Hiring for Night Shift!

  • 2-2-3 schedule: 2-week cycle
    • Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
    • Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off
  • Shifts: 12 hour shifts
    • Day Crew- 6am to 6pm
    • Night Crew – 6pm to 6am
As a Shipping and Receiving Associate at Vital Farms, you will work within our state-of-the-art manufacturing and production facility to load and unload our pasture-raised eggs from our family farms. This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You’ll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air-conditioned and sunlight-filled warehouse.

What You'll Do:
  • You will be receiving various orders, including eggs, paper goods, and materials using electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and scanners for efficiency
  • Focusing on customer satisfaction, you will be loading trucks to ship orders to distribution centers and/or grocery retailers
  • To ensure that our standard of quality is being met, you will be organizing our finished goods area to accommodate the FIFO method of goods
  • Successfully use DSI scanning system to monitor movement of finished goods
  • Creating an excellent customer experience for our drivers will be your priority
  • Build pallets as needed for orders
  • Some of your time will be spent reading and understanding bill of ladings and sales orders to ensure efficient product movement

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 1 year of shipping and receiving experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety reasons
  • Able to be certified to operate a forklift or pallet jack
  • Able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch for extended periods of time
  • Good manual dexterity working with hands to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Able to frequently lift and / or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Able to work safely in an environment when exposed to wet conditions
  • Follow all personal safety and food safety requirements rigorously
  • Ensure work area is clean and free of any hazards
  • Other duties as required
