At Vital Farms, we are proud of our incredible stakeholders, and the diversity they represent from all areas and communities in which we operate and serve. We view this as a source of strength for us and your job is to help us make it even better.

Your Role:

As the Internal Communications Specialist, you’ll be responsible for helping shape and amplify employee (or, in Vital Farms speak, “crew”) communications, ensuring clarity, transparency, and engagement among crew across the country. You’ll work collaboratively with our production facility crew at Egg Central Station (ECS), immersing yourself in the culture to help shape transparent, effective communications strategies that map day-to-day work to Vital Farms’ broader strategy. You’ll be the engaging voice that drives clarity and connection across all-crew channels—drafting, editing, and distributing a variety of internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, intranet, and campaigns.

What You'll Do:

  • Draft, edit, and distribute a variety of internal communications including newsletters, announcements, intranet, and campaigns.
  • Develop a strong pulse for sentiment among Egg Central Station (ECS) crew members and how day-to-day work relates to Vital Farms’ strategy to proactively identify and address gaps.
  • Collaborate with the Egg Central Station (ECS) leadership team to deliver updates in a clear, consistent, and compelling manner.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Inclusion & Belonging, Crew Engagement and People teams to align communications with company-wide initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of internal communication efforts through surveys, feedback, and engagement metrics.
  • Contribute ideas to improve communication strategies based on data and insights.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, in lieu of degree relevant year of experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in internal communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate must be located near Springfield, MO or the surrounding area.
  • This role is remote. Ability to travel to Springfield, MO approximately 2-3 times monthly with flexibility required
  • Ability to travel 20-30% for company onboarding, team meetings and other business needs
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working in the CPG production industry preferred
  • Proficiency in communication tools such as Microsoft Office, email marketing platforms, and intranet systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • Comfortable with the flexibility of working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • You’re no hero – You know the power of teamwork and celebrate the work of others before your own.
  • You give a sh*t – You believe in acting like an owner and making Vital Farms a place to be proud of.
  • You raise the standards – You know growth can be hard, but you strive to improve yourself and others each day.
  • You can walk in someone else’s boots – You seek to understand other’s viewpoints and think that you get to better answers by sitting on the same side of the table.
  • You don’t walk on eggshells – You’re not afraid to leave the bullsh*t behind and have honest conversations.

What We Bring to the Table:

  • A fast-paced, energetic, remote environment with passionate people who are leading a movement to bring ethically produced food to the table.
  • Competitive pay and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Parental Leave, just to name a few).
